People Tree #whomademyclothes

On 24 April 2015, Fashion Revolution Day , People Tree joined 68 countries around the world to challenge global fashion brands to demonstrate commitment to transparency across the length of the value chain, from farmers to factory workers, brands to buyers and consumers.

Fashion Revolution Day is also a time to celebrate companies that are on a journey to create a more ethical and sustainable future for fashion. People Tree has been campaigning for over 20 years to demonstrate that an alternative to fast fashion is possible.

For Fashion Revolution Day 2015, People Tree has put together a pack of images and profiles of producers for you to meet the talented makers of our clothes and to hear their stories.

People Tree is the pioneer in Fair Trade and sustainable fashion. This brand led by its founder and CEO, Safia Minney MBE, makes regular trips with the design team to meet its producers, whether design and technical support or to measure the social impact. These trips are an important part of People Tree’s DNA and ensure that best practice is maintained throughout the supply chain.

Fashion Revolution Day is a day to challenge the human rights and environmental catastrophes in their fashion supply chains. April 24th marks the second anniversary of the Rana Plaza disaster in Dhaka, Bangladesh, which killed 1,133, and injured over 2,500 people.

People Tree joins Fashion Revolution Day to demand the industry cleans up its act

From Van Der Love Magazine and Amanda Chic join to this movement, we support #FashRev and asked #WhoMadeMyClothes!
